Donations
We can accept gift-aid donations from members of the public at any time either directly or from an estate. You are able to leave a message dedicating the donation to a loved one or specifying what the donation is for. We celebrate and record all our donors and can arrange memorials such as plaques, trees or other dedications for those Paying One Forwards if it is in memory of a loved one.
The small print: Caledonia Cremation is a not for profit Community Interest Company wholly owned by the Scottish anti-poverty charity Community Renewal Trust. All donations are safeguarded by being paid into the Trust as it is a registered charity. This is why the donate page says “Community Renewal” rather than “Caledonia Cremation”.
Support us
Much of the support we offer to people is volunteer-led. Every week we have volunteers supporting bereaved families over the phone and we have arranged many peer support session such the Waterfront Bereavement walks we have done in North Edinburgh (funded by City of Edinburgh Council). We love it when volunteers lead talks or share learning about funerals into their communities – for example through running death cafes. If you have any ideas or any interest in volunteering, do email or ring us and ask to speak to Emma.
If you want to help us but can’t volunteer – please tell as many people as you can about us, the more people that know about us, the more people we will be able to help.
Fundraising
